It is a saving group created to introduce the culture of Savings and Credit for community development with the objective of improving the Social and Economic welfare of individuals and communities living in poverty and deprivation, and the projects and organizations that support and empower them.
Its name shall be INGO DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION UGANDA and it will acknowledge the wide heart and generosity towards the disadvantaged persons in its area of operations.
This is a print of the Constitution of the group of 20……, which was authorized by the general assembly of the group.
This document however was issued under the Article 2(2) of the 1995 Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, where it provides that if any law or custom is inconsistent with any of the provisions of this constitution, the Constitution shall prevail, and other law or custom shall, to the extent of the inconsistence be void.
Being loyal to abiding by and being guided by Uganda Constitution (Government policies) that freely allows the initiation of development activities at all levels i.e. CBOs for better production and modernization of the Country’s economy.
Aware of the many and varied; Social, Economic and Educational challenges that are facing people especially disabled, Orphans, the aged, women especially widows, displaced persons, the illiterate and young children in most parts of Uganda Mbale inclusive.
Concerned about the Social, Spiritual and economic well-being of people in Mbale City, Nkonkongeru Cell.
Knowing that togetherness and purposeful savings are the key to prosperity and development both in the war future and in the long run.
Know therefore; we resolve to constitute ourselves into a Saving and Credit Cooperative Foundation under this constitution to pursue these goals and fulfillment of our duties, aspiration and those of other members who wish to join us, operating under this constitution which is here in promulgated to our members.
- Transparency There shall always be transparency and complete openness among members of the group in the transaction of its business; the group shall, in dealing with any institution, organization, individuals, foundation, groups, whether Government of the Republic of Uganda and its agencies or outside Uganda demand and encourage transparency.
- Accountability All group members shall be accountable to each individually and collectively as a group. In the exercise of the principle, all members shall present before the group details and receipts/evidence of activities implemented for the approval of the group members.
- Democracy The life and activities of the group shall run on the principles of natural justice, fairness and good faith.
- Team work Members shall always work as a team towards any activities of the group.
The Organization and its property shall be administered and managed in accordance with the Constitution by the management Committee with powers from members of the board of directors.
To foster Unity and Development by motivation our members to save for improved business investment and engaging in activities that will enhance cohesion in our Community.
To enhance socio-economic development by supporting educational efforts, health initiatives, and empowering communities to ensure everyone can live a dignified life marked by matual respect.
